November Trees b/w 11AM on a Sunday

Fall is my favorite season, and these are two of my favorite songs. If every track I made were lost to time, and only these survived, I wouldn't be too mad. Despite being written a decade apart, if feels like they were meant to go together. Like bookends. The before and after of a thousand life-changing moments; but you still can't tell which is which.

I think everything I write is in one way or another about death. Or time (which I'm not completely certain isn't the same thing). It's funny how something we'll never experience colors everything we will. I suppose it's being finite that makes life terrifying and wonderful. We lose everything and then ourselves, though not necessarily in that order.

Like leaves that burn watching their branches go bare, there is a desperate joy in our futility, and the deepest love in the recesses of our loss. And so I find myself looking around—not too many leaves left on these November trees.

November Trees backed with 11AM on a Sunday on 7" white vinyl, 45 RPM. I hope you enjoy them. They sound much better this way.
